La Academia de Televisión de Estados Unidos anunció este martes las nominaciones a los 77° Premios Primetime Emmy, con la serie Severance (Apple TV+) como gran favorita al obtener un total de 27 candidaturas, la mayor cantidad para un solo programa en esta edición.
Creada por Dan Erickson y producida por Ben Stiller, la ficción de tono distópico competirá en la categoría principal de Mejor serie dramática, junto a Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, The Pitt, Slow Horses y The White Lotus.

En total, cuatro series superaron las 20 nominaciones. The Penguin (HBO|Max) quedó en segundo lugar con 24 nominaciones, seguida por The Studio (Apple TV+) y The White Lotus (HBO|Max), ambas con 23 menciones. Completan el listado The Last of Us (16), Andor y Hacks (14 cada una), y Adolescence, El oso y The Pitt, con 13 candidaturas cada una.
Los primeros anuncios se realizaron en vivo a través del programa CBS Mornings, que reveló las categorías de reality show de competencia y talk show, cuyos resultados coincidieron con lo esperado. Luego, desde el Wolf Theatre del Saban Media Center en Los Ángeles, Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Brenda Song (Running Point) y el presidente de la Academia de Televisión Cris Abrego dieron a conocer las nominaciones principales en una transmisión en vivo por el sitio web oficial de los Emmy y su canal de YouTube.
Entre las categorías destacadas, The Studio igualó el récord de más nominaciones para una serie de comedia en un solo año —marca que hasta ahora ostentaba El oso con sus 13 candidaturas en 2024—. Ambas competirán por Mejor serie de comedia junto a Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking y What We Do in the Shadows.
La ceremonia de entrega de los Emmy 2025 se realizará el domingo 14 de septiembre en el Peacock Theater de Los Ángeles, con Nate Bargatze como anfitrión. El evento será transmitido en vivo por CBS y estará disponible para streaming en Paramount+, tanto en directo como a demanda.

Una semana antes, los días 6 y 7 de septiembre, se celebrarán los Creative Arts Emmy Awards, donde se entregarán la mayoría de los galardones técnicos y artísticos.
En la edición 2024, Hacks se consagró como mejor serie de comedia, Shogun fue la más premiada con 18 estatuillas incluyendo mejor drama, y Bebé Reno se llevó seis premios incluyendo mejor miniserie. A pesar de no ganar el rubro principal, El oso impuso un récord con 11 premios, superando su marca de 10 del año anterior.
